The day well spent

My first day in London. I visited my best friend’s home, and his dad welcomed us with warmth welcome. We watched the World Cup final between England and South Africa together. We were talking about a lot of things I do; and I remember telling him that I’m not a wealthy man, I have nothing to offer; but the answer was so, so, so inspiring. He said, son, “you are the richest man in the world, you have invested your time and knowledge to change young lives in Lesotho, well, that is the wealth according to me.” I spend the rest of that day inspired by words of wisdom spoken by the old man. The same day, Dan and I went to his wife’s home, we were also welcomed by Bex’s family, wow, I will never forget that moment when we had lunch together as a family, it was an amazing feeling. I was told that I’m a member of the family, anything I want, I should just get it, or go get it. That made me feel free.
My third evening was well spend, we visited my best friend’s Rugby Club practice with him, during our arrival, first people we met with Coaches Morgan Whitlock and Damien Bouvier who were real happy to see us both. Well, the first time we met with one Coach was during Lesotho Rugby Academy 2017 gala-dinner here in London; and we have been very close to each other since then. We had a great practice that night and also, I was promised to be given an opportunity to play for the team on Saturday the 09th Nov 2019. That feeling was a feeling which I can’t explain. I’m overwhelmed by the people of Hackney Rugby Club, they have been helping Lesotho Rugby Academy since the beginning to date. Thank you guys. We are so grateful.
My fourth day in London; I so wish that people would realise and understand that, if there is something good/great you are doing out there for others, there are people noticing what you are doing, one day, you will be honored for what you have been doing. I always tell people that I’m not a wealthy man, but the little I have, I share it with the needy ones, which is my time. I dedicated my time to instill life’s skills to the less fortunate kids in Lesotho. I didn’t know that, time is wealth until I met with my best friend’s dad. I will always remember that Mr. Aylward.
On this fourth day, I was invited to visit the Harlequins Foundation by our closest friend and partner Mr. Marc Leckie. I was surprised to see how other organizations work; they are so organized. I took a tour in Twickenham Stoop Stadium with Leckie; later after he introduced me to the staff, we went to the junior tournament, that’s where I met with Harlequins international players, who were playing at the Rugby World Cup for their different countries. It was an amazing experience I had out there. I just want to say to Leckie and the entire staff of Harlequins Foundation. Lesotho Rugby Academy is forever indebted to the assistance you have been giving them; today they are successful in changing young lives because of your support.
Thank you so much.
I would like to covey my deepest gratitude to everyone contributed to build Lesotho Rugby Academy to do what we do best, changing young lives. Thank you for been part of our fraternity.
